THE Iloilo City Government will host the first Iloilo Business Summit, a gathering of topnotch businessmen and industry leaders of the country, on July 29 at the Sarabia Manor Hotel.
Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the city and its Trade Investment and Promotions Board are ready to absorb big-time business opportunities, as the city moves forward to becoming the next business hub in the country.
Industrialist and business leader Manuel V. Pangilinan will keynote the summit that will see participation of more than 100 business leaders in the country and abroad.
Also expected to attend the conglomeration of business leaders are Ambassador Jesus Tambunting of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, Mr. Oscar Lopez of the Lopez Group of Companies, US-based Filipina businesswoman Loida Nicolas Lewis, and Edgar Injap Sia of Mang Inasal, among others.
Mabilog said the summit will define the business potentials of Iloilo City and its contribution to the national business sector.
It will also show the readiness and preparation of the city in facing influx of big businesses, Mabilog added.
