PARAW REGATTA: Summer in Iloilo City is traditionally highlighted with the race of hundred paraws (sailboats) along the water strait between Iloilo City and Guimaras during the Paraw Regatta Festival. The annual festival primarily intends to encourage local tourism and preserve paraws as part of the Ilonggo culture and history. Other activities include sail painting (Pinta Paraw), body painting (Pintawo), fishing tournament, and Regatta Model Search.
